The majority of Travelers come to Rwanda to see mountain gorillas, so the best time to visit is often whenever you can get a highly in demand permit or also depends on the best season for Gorilla sightings. During the peak season the travel costs might be higher, But keep in mind that Rwanda has a lot more to offer, than just Mountain Gorilla from its beautiful national parks to plethora of wildlife, rainforests, hiking and much more.
Rwanda is a destination for all seasons, but the drier period from June to September or Mid December to early February is best for spotting the country undoubted highlight, the mountain gorilla. The rainy seasons from March to May and June to September are the optimum times for tracking chimpanzees. You can track gorillas year round in Rwanda, however you will want to bear in mind that the rainier months will make tracking more difficult with muddy conditions. Due to its proximity to nature and small size, Rwanda experience average daytime temperature of 30°C all year around.
